Pressure Reducing Valve with Solenoid (On-Off) Feature - Main Product Image

Automated control valve combining hydraulic pressure reduction with electrical ON–OFF control for SCADA and remote monitoring systems

Overview

A Pressure Reducing Valve with Solenoid (On-Off) Feature is a hydraulically operated, self-actuated control valve equipped with an electrically operated solenoid valve that enables remote ON–OFF control of the pressure reducing function.

The valve is designed to automatically reduce high inlet pressure to a stable, preset downstream pressure, while allowing instant opening or closing through electrical signals.

This combination makes it ideal for automated water distribution systems, SCADA-controlled networks, and time-based or emergency shut-off applications.

Key Features

  • Hydraulic pressure reduction
  • Electrical ON–OFF control
  • Remote operation capability
  • SCADA integration ready
  • Emergency shut-off function

Working Principle

The valve operates primarily using line pressure, with the solenoid providing electrical control.

  • During normal operation, the valve reduces downstream pressure to the preset value using the pressure reducing pilot.
  • When the solenoid is energized, it opens or closes the hydraulic control circuit, causing the main valve to open fully or close tightly.
  • When the solenoid is de-energized, the valve returns to its normal pressure reducing operation or remains closed, depending on the control configuration (Normally Open or Normally Closed).

This ensures accurate pressure regulation along with fast and reliable ON–OFF control.

Key Functions

  • Automatic downstream pressure reduction
  • Electrical ON–OFF control via solenoid
  • Remote operation through PLC / SCADA
